Fans Of The Dallas Cowboys Are Seething With Fury Over The 44-6 Loss To The Eagles

The 44-6 loss to the Eagles on Sunday has unleashed a bitter onslaught of unprecedented criticism towards the Dallas Cowboys, their owner, their coaches and their players by their own fans.

A team that was a preseason favorite to go to the Super Bowl didn't even make the playoffs.

But it was the way the team came apart like a 20 dollar suit in a must win against the hated Eagles that has Cowboy fans absolutely seething.

One very bitter Cowboys fan penned the following very eloquent statement about the loss to the Eagles on the Dallas Sports Keg blog - "the Cowboy season crashed and burned faster than Lindsay Lohan's career."

One commenter on a Dallas Morning News blog posted this riddle:

However, one Cowboys fan decided to take his bitterness to the Cowboys himself.

Cowboys fan Alan Lowe actually wore a sign outside the Cowboy's training facility that had the words: "The Cowboys have no heart" in front and "Wade Phillips is a embarrassment to the Star" in back.

Cowboys linebacker Bradie James saw Lowe as James was leaving the complex.

James got out of his car and ripped the sign and broke the man's glasses in the process.

The police were actually summoned, but James settled the dispute by giving Lowe a new pair of Oakley sunglasses.

Other Cowboy fans may not be placated so easily.....

From the Blogging The Boys blog comes this frank assessment of quarterback Tony Romo: "Romo, again, wilted on the biggest stages when we needed him the most."

Dallas fan Cary Clack wrote this about the 44-6 loss to the Eagles: "The Cowboys had so many costly turnovers that they looked more like an upscale bakery than a highly paid professional football team."

Extraordinary Extrabiblical Evidence For Jesus Christ From The Jewish Talmud

There is extraordinary evidence in the Jewish Talmud that something incredibly miraculous happened approximately 40 years before the Jewish Temple was destroyed in 70 A.D.

The Jewish Talmud actually records four amazing miracles that all began about 40 years before the Temple was finally destroyed.

What these miracles may represent is an extraordinary message from God that something earth shatteringly significant did indeed occur around the time of 30 A.D.

In the centuries that followed the destruction of the Temple in 70 A.D., Jewish rabbis worked to compile two records of rabbinic discussions pertaining to Jewish law, ethics, customs, and history.

The first was compiled in the land of Palestine and became known as the Jerusalem Talmud.

The second was compiled in the land of Babylon and was known as the Babylonian Talmud.

Both the Jerusalem Talmud and the Babylonian Talmud contain a description of these four extraordinary miracles.

First, here is the description of these miracles that we find in the Jerusalem Talmud:

"Forty years before the destruction of the Temple, the western light went out, the crimson thread remained crimson, and the lot for the Lord always came up in the left hand. They would close the gates of the Temple by night and get up in the morning and find them wide open" (Jacob Neusner, The Yerushalmi, p.156-157).

Secondly, here is the description of these miracles that we find in the Babylonian Talmud:

"Our rabbis taught: During the last forty years before the destruction of the Temple the lot ['For the Lord'] did not come up in the right hand; nor did the crimson-colored strap become white; nor did the western most light shine; and the doors of the Hekel [Temple] would open by themselves" (Soncino version, Yoma 39b).

So what do these things mean?

The Miracle of the "Lot"

The first of these miracles concerns a random choosing of the "lot" which was cast on the Day of Atonement (Yom Kippur). The lot chosen determined which of two goats would be "for the Lord" and which goat would be the "Azazel" or "scapegoat." During the two hundred years before 30 CE, when the High Priest picked one of two stones, again this selection was governed by chance, and each year the priest would select a black stone as often as a white stone. But for forty years in a row, beginning in 30 CE, the High Priest always picked the black stone! The odds against this happening are astronomical (2 to the 40th power). In other words, the chances of this occurring are 1 in approximately 5,479,548,800 or about 5.5 billion to one! By comparison, your chances of winning your local state or municipal-run cash Lottery would be much more favorable!

The lot for Azazel, the black stone, contrary to all the laws of chance, came up 40 times in a row from 30 to 70 AD! This was considered a dire event and signified something had fundamentally changed in this Yom Kippur ritual. This casting of lots is also accompanied by yet another miracle which is described next.

The Miracle of the Red Strip

The second miracle concerns the crimson strip or cloth tied to the Azazel goat. A portion of this red cloth was also removed from the goat and tied to the Temple door. Each year the red cloth on the Temple door turned white as if to signify the atonement of another Yom Kippur was acceptable to the Lord. This annual event happened until 30 CE when the cloth then remained crimson each year to the time of the Temple's destruction. This undoubtedly caused much stir and consternation among the Jews. This traditional practice is linked to Israel confessing its sins and ceremonially placing this nation's sin upon the Azazel goat. The sin was then removed by this goat's death. Sin was represented by the red color of the cloth (the color of blood). But the cloth remained crimson that is, Israel's sins were not being pardoned and "made white."

As God told Israel through Isaiah the prophet:

"Come, let us reason together, saith the LORD: though your sins be as scarlet [crimson], they shall be white as snow; though they be red like crimson, they shall be as [white] wool" (Isaiah 1:18).

The clear indication is that the whole community had lost the Lord's attention in relation to something that occurred in 30 CE. The yearly atonement achieved through the typical Yom Kippur observance was not being realized as expected. Atonement apparently was to be gained in some other way. Who or what would provide the atonement for another year?

Concerning the crimson strip though not mentioned in the Scriptures and long before 30 C.E. during the 40 years Simon the Righteous was High Priest, a crimson thread which was associated with his person always turned white when he entered the Temple's innermost Holy of Holies. The people noticed this. Also, they noted that "the lot of the LORD" (the white lot) came up for 40 straight years during Simon's priesthood. They noticed that the "lot" picked by the priests after Simon would sometimes be black, and sometimes white, and that the crimson thread would sometimes turn white, and sometimes not. The Jews came to believe that if the crimson thread turned white, that God approved of the Day of Atonement rituals and that Israel could be assured that God forgave their sins. But after 30 CE, the crimson thread never turned white again for 40 years, till the destruction of the Temple and the cessation of all Temple rituals!

What did the Jewish nation do in 30 CE to merit such a change at Yom Kippur? By some accounts, on April 5, 30 CE (i.e., on the 14th of Nisan, the day of the Passover sacrifice) the Messiah, Yeshua, was cut off from Israel, himself put to death as a sacrifice for sin. To this event there is a transference of the atonement now no longer achieved through the two goats as offered at Yom Kippur. Like an innocent Passover lamb, the Messiah was put to death though no fault was found in Him! But unlike Temple sacrifices or the Yom Kippur events (as detailed above) where sin is only covered over for a time, the Messianic sacrifice comes with the promise of forgiveness of sins through grace given by God to those who accept a personal relationship with Messiah. This is essentially a one time event for each person's lifetime and not a continual series of annual observances and animal sacrifices. The mechanism providing forgiveness of sin changed in 30 CE.

The Miracle of the Temple Doors

The next miracle, which the Jewish authorities acknowledged, was that the Temple doors swung open every night of their own accord. This too occurred for forty years, beginning in 30 CE The leading Jewish authority of that time, Yohanan ben Zakkai, declared that this was a sign of impending doom, that the Temple itself would be destroyed.

The Jerusalem Talmud states:

"Said Rabban Yohanan Ben Zakkai to the Temple, 'O Temple, why do you frighten us? We know that you will end up destroyed. For it has been said, 'Open your doors, O Lebanon, that the fire may devour your cedars' " (Zechariah 11:1)' (Sota 6:3).

Yohanan Ben Zakkai was the leader of the Jewish community during the time following the destruction of the Temple in 70 CE, when the Jewish government was transferred to Jamnia, some thirty miles west of Jerusalem.

Might the doors have opened to also signify that all may now enter the Temple, even to its innermost holy sections. The evidence supported by the miracles described above suggests the Lord's presence had departed from the Temple. This was no longer just a place for High Priests alone, but the doors swung open for all to enter the Lord's house of worship.

The Miracle of the Temple Menorah

The fourth miracle was that the most important lamp of the seven candle-stick Menorah in the Temple went out, and would not shine. Every night for 40 years (over 12,500 nights in a row) the main lamp of the Temple lampstand (menorah) went out of its own accord no matter what attempts and precautions the priests took to safeguard against this event!

Earnest Martin states:

"In fact, we are told in the Talmud that at dusk the lamps that were unlit in the daytime (the middle four lamps remained unlit, while the two eastern lamps normally stayed lit during the day) were to be re-lit from the flames of the western lamp (which was a lamp that was supposed to stay lit all the time it was like the 'eternal' flame that we see today in some national monuments)...

"This 'western lamp' was to be kept lit at all times. For that reason, the priests kept extra reservoirs of olive oil and other implements in ready supply to make sure that the 'western lamp' (under all circumstances) would stay lit. But what happened in the forty years from the very year Messiah said the physical Temple would be destroyed? Every night for forty years the western lamp went out, and this in spite of the priests each evening preparing in a special way the western lamp so that it would remain constantly burning all night!" (The Significance of the Year CE 30, Ernest Martin, Research Update, April 1994, p.4).

Again, the odds against the lamp continually going out are astronomical. Something out of the ordinary was going on. The "light" of the Menorah representing contact with God, His Spirit, and His Presence was now removed. This special demonstration occurred starting with the crucifixion of the Messiah!

It should be clear to any reasonable mind that there is no natural way to explain all these four signs connected with the year 30 CE. The only possible explanation has to be supernatural.

Now it must be noted that the Jewish Talmud is most definitely NOT scripture, but what these documents do show is that it was the belief of the Jewish rabbis that these four mind blowing miracles DID happen.

If only these Jewish rabbis had realized what these miracles were trying to tell them - that Yahshua (Jesus) is the Messiah and that His death and resurrection had changed things forever.

You don't have to imagine, because in Japan they actually have such a game show.

Is Having An 18th Child An Eco-Crime Against Humanity?

For those of you who may have missed it, the Duggar family of Arkansas just had their 18th child. In a world of dwindling resources, this story has once again sparked a debate about whether humanity should be free to multiply as they wish or whether strict population controls are needed for the good of mankind.

For most of human history, the thought of the government or anyone else restricting how many children one could have was absolutely unthinkable.

However, today there are many, particularly in the Western world, who are more than willing to restrict their own reproductive capabilities.

One 27 year old woman named Toni Vernelli told the Daily Mail why she decided to get permanately sterilized: "Every person who is born uses more food, more water, more land, more fossil fuels, more trees and produces more rubbish, more pollution, more greenhouse gases, and adds to the problem of over-population."

Some activists have even gone to the extreme by forming "The Voluntary Human Extinction Movement" which seeks to reduce the presence of humanity on earth as much as possible.

Their motto is: “May we live long and die out”.

So is the ballooning population of planet earth a huge threat to the environment? Do we need to implement strict population controls for the good of mankind?

The reality is that the world has more people than it ever has in all of recorded history. Some countries have implemented population laws that are quite strict (such as China's one child policy), while other nations do not have any population regulations. Lately, however, we have started to see some population control measures begin to pop up in the Western world.....

*Women in the Netherlands who are deemed by the state to be unfit mothers will be sentenced to take contraception for a period of two years, according to a new bill before the Dutch parliament.

*In the U.K., one influential think tank says that it is an "eco-crime" to have too many children and that we really need to examine the impact our large population is having on the earth.

*In South America, the government of Peru goes door to door pressuring women to be sterilized and they are funded by American tax dollars to do this.

The desire by the global elite to limit the population of the earth has been around for a long, long time. Between 1798-1826, English economist Thomas Malthus published six editions of his work entitled "Essay on the Principle of Population", which argued that population growth inevitably outstrips food production.

The primary argument advanced by Malthus was that the English working class was poor not because they were exploited, but rather because there were too many of them. Malthus opposed welfare and higher wages because he believed they would allow the poor to survive and breed, thus compounding the overpopulation problem and leading to more poverty. Of course Malthus was terribly wrong about all of this, but nonetheless his theories gained wide acceptance among the English elite of his day.

Many years later, Margaret Sanger, the founder of Planned Parenthood, vigorously promoted this type of thinking in the United States. The following is one of Margaret Sanger's most famous quotes:

"The most merciful thing that a family does to one of its infant members is to kill it."

Unfortunately, the theories of Malthus, Sanger and other population control advocates did not die out. Rather, they seemed to gain steam as the population of the world absolutely exploded in the 20th century.

U.S. environmentalist Paul Erlich, in his 1968 book entitled "The Population Bomb", argued for very strict population control measures, especially in the poorer areas of the world. He warned that if we did not implement such measures we would be facing catastrophic problems very quickly.

Dr. Arne Schiotz, World Wildlife Fund Director of Conservation, said this in 1984:

"Malthus has been vindicated, reality is finally catching up with Malthus. The Third World is overpopulated, it’s an economic mess, and there’s no way they could get out of it with this fast-growing population. Our philosophy is: back to the village."

Unfortunately, the philosophies of Erlich, Schiotz and others have garnered a following even among powerful members of the United States government:

“There is a single theme behind all our work–we must reduce population levels. Either governments do it our way, through nice clean methods, or they will get the kinds of mess that we have in El Salvador, or in Iran or in Beirut. Population is a political problem. Once population is out of control, it requires authoritarian government, even fascism, to reduce it…."

“Our program in El Salvador didn’t work. The infrastructure was not there to support it. There were just too goddamned many people…. To really reduce population, quickly, you have to pull all the males into the fighting and you have to kill significant numbers of fertile age females…."

“The quickest way to reduce population is through famine, like in Africa, or through disease like the Black Death….”

The quotes above are typical of the mindset of the global elite. The call for radical population control has grown louder than ever before. College professors are given standing ovations by their students when they call for a 90 percent reduction in the human population of the planet. Ted Turner said, "A total population of 250-300 million people, a 95% decline from present levels, would be ideal," and the global elite applauded him for it. The Georgia Guidestones which call for us to "maintain humanity under 500,000,000 in perpetual balance with nature" are increasingly cited by our leaders as an important, and perhaps even necessary, goal.

What is happening to our world?

It seems as though for the global elite, every major crisis these days is an opportunity to further one of the key pillars of their agenda:

Population reduction.

Problem #1: Gas costs too much and we are faced with "global warming".

Answer: Get rid of a whole bunch of people and we will use less gas and we will produce less "greenhouse gases".

Problem #2: Medical costs are soaring out of control.

Answer: Get rid of a whole bunch of people and kill off the elderly and we will have fewer medical costs.

Now Prince Philip, the Duke of Edinburgh, has the perfect solution for the "food crisis":

The following is one of Prince Philip's most famous quotes about world population:

"You cannot keep a bigger flock of sheep than you are capable of feeding. In other words conservation may involve culling in order to keep a balance between the relative numbers in each species within any particular habitat. I realize this is a very touchy subject, but the fact remains that mankind is part of the living world…. Every new acre brought into cultivation means another acre denied to wild species."

Prince Philip, the "Eco-Warrior", also once said that he would like to come back to earth as a disease after he died to help reduce the human population.

But he is far from alone on this issue. The call for human depopulation is coming from a myriad of other sources:

John Guillebaud, professor of family planning at University College London has said: “The effect on the planet of having one child less is an order of magnitude greater than all these other things we might do, such as switching off lights. An extra child is the equivalent of a lot of flights across the planet."

He has also made this shocking statement: “The greatest thing anyone in Britain could do to help the future of the planet would be to have one less child.”

Now there are influential think tanks in the United Kingdom that are even advocating that the U.K. adopt a "2 child" policy to help fight "global warming".

The Club of Rome certainly is clear about who they think the enemy is.....

"In searching for a new enemy to unite us, we came up with the idea that pollution, the threat of global warming, water shortages, famine and the like would fit the bill…. Mikhail Gorbachev made the following stunning statement about the population of the earth: "We must speak more clearly about sexuality, contraception, about abortion, about values that control population, because the ecological crisis, in short, is the population crisis. The reality is that we are getting increasingly closer to the kind of world where the "useless eaters" that Henry Kissinger talked about will be "eliminated". Is this the kind of future that we want for us and our children?

The truth is that the world is not experiencing runaway population growth. While the earth's population is growing, the rate of growth is definitely slowing. The population of the world grew by 140% between 1950 and 2000. However, authorities predict a rise of only 50% between 2000 and 2050, and a rise of just 11% in the 50 years after that.

The truly frightening thing is that many of you who are reading this article actually agree with this radical depopulation agenda.

The Christmas Tree - An Ancient Pagan Fertility Symbol

Most Americans will gather around "the Christmas tree" on December 25th without having any idea why we practice this tradition or where it came from. The truth is that the Christmas tree and the decorations we put on the tree have ancient roots in pagan fertility traditions.

In ancient times, the goddess Asherah was known the "Queen of Heaven". She was worshipped by many civilizations in the Middle East.

One of the symbols most closely associated with Asherah was a tree. The ancient Canaanites and Phoenicians viewed the tree as a symbol of fertility.

This is not a joke.

The purpose of the fertility tree in ancient times was to display the symbols of fertility.

The pole, balls, and tinsel (phallus, testes, semen) represented various aspects of male fertility, while wreaths were always made in a circle to represent female fertility.

But isn't the Christmas tree a Christian thing?

Actually the Bible doesn't say anything about a "Christmas tree", but it does warn God's people against putting up trees like the other pagan nations were doing.

Jeremiah 10:1-4.....

Hear what the LORD says to you, O house of Israel. This is what the LORD says: "Do not learn the ways of the nations or be terrified by signs in the sky, though the nations are terrified by them. For the customs of the peoples are worthless; they cut a tree out of the forest, and a craftsman shapes it with his chisel. They adorn it with silver and gold; they fasten it with hammer and nails so it will not totter."

The truth is shocking, eh?

Most people think that December 25th first became a holiday when Catholics decided to make that day the celebration of the birth of Christ. But that is just not true. Before Christmas was ever invented, December 25th was known as "the birthday of the unconquered sun" and it was celebrated as the birthday of pagan gods such as Mithras, Attis, Sol, Dionysus and others.

Most people also do not realize that Yule is the name of a major pagan holiday that is celebrated today by thousands upon thousands of people around the world.

In fact, a major U.K. newspaper recently had this headline: Ancient Yule festivals lie behind much of our British Christmas.

Yule was celebrated by the pagans of northern Europe from late December to early January for centuries. When you offer "yuletide" greetings you are acknowledging this celebration. Yule logs were traditionally lit to honor the god "Thor". The holiday would continue until the Yule log burned out, which could take as many as twelve days. Thus this is where we get the "12 days of Christmas". Even an early form of Santa Claus can all be traced back to ancient Yule celebrations.

Another one of the pagan pre-Christian festivals was called Saturnalia.

Saturnalia was a holiday when the Romans commemorated the dedication of the temple of their god Saturn, which was on the 17th of December and the festival would last for a whole week until the 23rd of December.

Green ivy and holly were common symbols of "Saturn", the Roman deity.

Later on, the Romans also started holding a festival on December 25 called Dies Natalis Solis Invicti, which means "the birthday of the unconquered sun."

In the year 350 A.D., Pope Julius I declared that "Christ’s birth" would be celebrated on December 25th from then on.

Apparently his rationale was that he was trying to make it easier for pagan Romans to convert to Christianity.

But the historical Jesus was not born on December 25th.

It would have been far too cold for shepherds to be out with their sheep at night during that time.

The truth is that is can be demonstrated that Jesus was most likely born during the Feast of Tabernacles.

Christmas 2008 - Heartbreaking Stories Of Hard Times

Christmas in 2008 is a heartwrenching time for many Americans. Millions are now out of work and can't find a job, a record number of Americans are having their houses foreclosed, countless families have little or no money to buy Christmas presents for their children and a sense of hopelessness and depression is creeping steadily across the nation.

Can you imagine getting down on your knees and begging for a job at the dump?

That actually happened this Christmas season in the Tampa Bay area.

136 people, most out of work, answered a recent employment ad for a position at a landfill.

"At one point I actually had a line of people 10 feet out the door waiting to talk to me," Scott Hanus, an operations manager for Veolia Environmental Services told the St. Petersburg Times.

In fact, he had 4 people actually get down on their knees and beg him for a job.

At the dump.

Wow.

Did you hear about the approximately 1,000 people who applied for 50 low paying jobs at a new In-N-Out restaurant opening in Nevada?

This is how the Las Vegas Sun described the scene:

Some wore ties. Some wore their pants too low. Some were balding. Some owed two months of mortgage payments. Some spoke openly of suicide. Some asked this reporter for a job. Some asked the manager at the hotel hosting the event for a job.

Then there is the tragic story of James Atwell. Each year his Christmas light displays in Maryland have attracted approximately 30,000 cars full of onlookers each season, but this year will be the last year for his annual display of lights.

Why?

His house is being foreclosed.

He is another victim of the subprime mortgage meltdown.

"I don't feel sorry for myself," Atwell told the Maryland Independent. "I got myself into this. … The judgments are just piling up. … I never dreamed I would be like this."

The truth is that many Americans cannot even afford to buy gifts for the children this Christmas.

According to a recent Harris Interactive survey of 2,821 adults released by the American Psychological Association in Washington, D.C., more than half of American families worry about not having money to buy gifts this year.

One out of work Arizona woman described her increasing desperation this way: "When three months go by with only two job interviews, it's hard not to feel a certain amount of self-doubt and hopelessness."

All of this increasing desperation is putting a lot of stress on life in the home.

The Baltimore Sun is reporting on one woman in the Baltimore area is having a hard time hiding her desperation as her husband's business has almost completely failed. Her family's cars have been repossessed and their house is in danger of foreclosure. "We're behind on everything," she says.

She also tells of being afraid of her abusive husband: "He gets very frustrated, very, very angry."

The reality is that according the U.S. Bureau of Justice Statistics, more than half a million Americans, almost all of them women, are abused by their spouses every year. All of this economic stress is making things even worse experts say.

The truth is that Americans have lived beyond their means for decades, and now America is full of people who think that life is over if all of their treasures are taken away.

But perhaps all of us would be better off if we took the words of Jesus in Matthew 6:19-21 to heart.....

"Do not store up for yourselves treasures on earth, where moth and rust destroy, and where thieves break in and steal. But store up for yourselves treasures in heaven, where moth and rust do not destroy, and where thieves do not break in and steal. For where your treasure is, there your heart will be also."

A $122,500 Donation - Is Will Smith A Scientologist?

Is Will Smith becoming a Scientologist?

The Huffington Post is reporting that Will Smith's charitable foundation's tax return shows that $122,500 was donated to various Scientology causes.

That is a lot of money - even for a movie star.

Will Smith had admitted that he has studied Scientology and he has gotten quite close with Tom Cruise. Smith even says that Scientology is very similar to Christianity: "in all of the experiences I've had with Tom [Cruise] and Scientology, like, 98 percent of the principles are identical to the principles of the Bible."

Will Smith and his wife Jada Pinkett Smith also recently opened up a new private school that is using Scientologist materials and has Scientologist teachers instructing children in the classroom.

The name of the school is the New Village Academy and it has caused concerns because it will use instructional methods developed by L. Ron Hubbard, the founder of Scientology.

However, New Village Academy director Jacqueline Olivier told the Los Angeles Times: "We are a secular school, and just like all nonreligious independent schools, faculty and staff do not promote their own religions at school or pass on the beliefs of their particular faith to children".

The school opened up this past September. The academy also teaches classes on yoga, robotics and etiquette:

4 Observations On The President Bush "Shoe Incident"

Iraqi journalist Muntadar al-Zeidi is the Iraqi journalist who shocked the world by throwing 2 shoes at President George W. Bush. Most people are laughing at the incident, but there is much more to this incident than some idiot reporter chucking his shoes at Bush:

#1) Most Americans do not appreciate how extreme of an insult it was for that reporter to throw his shoes at Bush. In Arab culture, it is considered to be very offensive just to display the sole of one shoe to another person. Throwing two shoes at someone is an extraordinary insult in the Arab world.

#2) This incident represents a dramatic failure of security around Bush. It is stunning enough that someone would be able to throw one shoe at Bush from almost point blank range, but this reporter had the chance to slowly reload and chuck a 2nd shoe at Bush. Where in the world was the secret service? What if the reporter had actually been armed?

#3) Bush's reflexes are still quite sharp. Did you see how quickly he ducked out of the way from the first shoe? Perhaps after he ends his term he can play goalie in the NHL.

#4) This incident has drawn attention to the fact that the people of Iraq are sick and tired of the American occupation. The truth is that Iraqi anger is as hot as it ever has been and it is not going to go away any time soon.
