Compulsory RFID Microchipping Of Dogs Coming To The United Kingdom?

The telegraph is reporting that a proposal is being presented to the government of the U.K. that every single dog be required to be microchipped.

The promoters of this microchipping feel that it would help owners and local authorities to be able to keep these pets under much greater control.

While this sounds great in theory, the reality is that it is another creeping step in the direction of chipping everyone and everything in our society.

Today they may want to chip your dog, but tomorrow they will want to chip YOU.

"Why do we still have a stray animal problem? Why do we have an increasing dangerous dog problem? The answer has to come down to education, enforcement of legislation and, in certain cases, microchipping and dog licensing," he said.
