Why Have We Turned The Pacific Ocean Into The Largest Garbage Dump In The World?

Someday historians will look back on our time and will refer to us as "those crazy Plastic People".

A "plastic soup" of garbage floating in the Pacific Ocean is growing at an alarming rate and now covers an area TWICE the size of the continental United States.

We take things like plastic and nylon and polyester for granted today.

But look at what we have done.

We have created the largest garbage dump in the world in the Pacific ocean.

An area about twice the size of the continental United States that stretches from Hawaii to Japan is filled with a "plastic soup" of trash, plastic, garbage and human waste.

How could we do this?

How could we be so immoral and destructive?

What will we tell our children?

People need to wake up before we completely ruin this planet.
