Serious concern about the impact flouride has on the brain has been fueled by 18 significant studies that all report IQ deficits among children exposed to excess amounts of fluoride. Four other studies indicate that fluoride can enter, and damage, the fetal brain. In addition, a growing number of animal studies have found damage to brain tissue and impairment of learning and memory among fluoride-treated groups of animals.
The US National Research Council says that "it is apparent that fluorides have the ability to interfere with the functions of the brain."
