Did you know that Jesus was not born on December 25th?For one thing, shepherds did not keep their flocks out at night that late in the year. It would be too cold late in December.
Most Biblical scholars believe that Jesus was actually born in the fall.
Using the information in the gospel of Luke, some scholars have actually calculated that Jesus was born not only in the fall, but more specifically during the Feast of Tabernacles:
